Proverbs Typeface

10.00

Proverbs Regular is a slab-serif display-type font. It was built with precision using matching curves and lines on each letter to complement its unique style. The double lines reinforce structure and a strong base. The serifs at the end of each letter helps them to stand alone without needing additional text around them to make a statement.

Proverbs Regular was created to be used as a display font. It works especially well with added tracking. This font uses all uppercase glyphs. The lowercase glyphs are small caps.

Proverbs Regular is ideal for:

  • Large header text
  • Text overlays for hero images
  • Book covers
  • Product Mock-Ups

The goods you'll receive:

  • Desktop fonts in TrueType & OpenType formats
  • Webfont

I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.

My oh my! I have just finished creating my first ever font. As I have been showing people snippets, I keep hearing “Who does that? People use fonts all the time, but you’re making them.” Creating the font was quite the process, but I have grown to appreciate the time and attention that designers give to the seemingly small details like the spacing between letters (or kerning) and the style features like serifs and ligatures.

This font was precision-made with a minimal number of angles and curve sizes used to reinforce the style. Initially, I created the letters P-R-O-V-E-R-B-S for the design of Proverbs 31 Wardrobe Ministry by FeefeYorka.com. It was part of the style I created to represent strengthdignity and honor. I used the shape of the letterforms to reinforce each of those qualities.

Strength

The double lines reinforce structure and a strong base. The serifs at the end of each letter helps them to stand alone without needing additional text around them to make a statement.

Dignity

I wanted to portray dignity in the style of the letters. With each letter having a consistent style, it is understood that each mark is a part of a larger group.

Honor

There were no shortcuts taken when meticulously forging each letterform. This font is distinct and stands apart due to its custom nature. Even with a “light” style, this font makes a bold statement.
